The Government of the Republic of Zambia (hereinafter called “Borrower”) has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank (the “Bank”) in the form of a “Credit” (hereinafter called “Credit”) towards the cost of Green, Resilient and Transformational Tourism Development Project (GREAT-TDP), name of project. The Ministry of Tourism (MoT), Project Implementation Unit (PIU) , an implementing agency of the Client (Borrower), intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the contract for which this Request for Expression of Interest is issued. The consulting services (“the Services”) seeks to engage a Consultant (individually as a firm or in association with other firm(s) in the form of Joint Venture or Sub Consultancy or as a Consortium) to provide consulting services for the development of the Destination Plan (DP) and Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA) for the source of the Zambezi River and surrounding areas. The proposed assignment is expected to be carried out in ten (10) calendar months and is expected to start in the second week of January 2025 ensuring full consistency with the TOR attached or referred to in this REOI. The Terms of Reference (TORs) for the primary procurement stage for the assignment are attached to this request for expressions of interest or can be obtained at the address given below.
